While an entire spa day may be out of the question for many of us with a jam packed schedule and no time to spare, a mini spa experience for women on the go is definitely in the cards thanks to the Spaahh at Hotel 1000. Designed with busy women in mind, the new menu of Glam & Go services at Spaahh allow you to escape and unwind on your lunch break. Guests can choose from select services including a relaxing massage, a Seattle-inspired Madison Mani or Pike Place Pedi, a rejuvenating Perfection Peel or even waxing services for the brow, lip or bikini area. Each service is approximately 30 minutes and includes lunch from BOKA, which means that by the time your treatment has concluded, lunch will be boxed up and ready to go so that you can get back to your day feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world.
The Glam & Go experience starts with complimentary valet parking making it quick and easy to relax at the Spaahh. As you descend down the stairs from the hotel lobby you'll be whisked away to the relaxation room to fill out a few quick forms before you peruse the Glam & Go lunch menu from BOKA and place your order. Guests can choose from a variety of lunch options including a simple but delicious chicken caesar salad, a Tuna Nicoise salad, or something a little more substantial like a signature BOKA Burger.
The Glam & Go treatment I chose to experience today was the Corporate massage. To kick off the relaxation I was given a heated neck pillow to help ease into the spa experience while I filled out my intake forms and ordered lunch. Upon completion of the forms to indicate my massage preferences, Micha, the massage therapist, took me back to the treatment room. The massage was amazing and Micha helped ease the knots out of my upper back and shoulders. I'm prone to carrying stress in those areas because I work at a computer all day and the massage techniques she used really helped to alleviate the tension. Despite the fact that the massage was only 30 minutes long, it was more than enough time for me to unwind and get to place of total relaxation. The calming music, soothing aromatherapy and specialized massage techniques all helped make this express service something that I would definitely recommend to friends who are short on time but desperately in need of a little lunch hour rejuvenation. The best part? Checking out of the spa with my lunch in hand so that I could quickly get back to my desk with more than 10 minutes to spare! Now that's what I call a power lunch.
